Garlic Dinner Rolls (SCD, Paleo, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free)


  • Smells like 'real' bread when baking!
  • Surprisingly light for an almond meal roll
  • Dairy-free
  • Makes six rolls

2 cups almond meal
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 egg
1 garlic clove
1 teaspoon baking soda
salt and pepper to taste

Optional Egg Wash:
1 egg
2 teaspoons almond milk or water

-Preheat oven to 200C/392F
-Mix almond meal, baking soda, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl
-Blend egg, olive oil and garlic clove in a food processor (if you can't be bothered, just add wet ingredients to dry and grate the garlic in)
-Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well
-Wet your hands and shape dough into six rolls, placing them on a tray lined with baking paper
-Whisk together egg and almond milk or water for the egg wash and brush it onto each roll (gives it a nice colour and slightly glossy coating)
-Bake for 18 minutes
