Homemade Fig Jam (SCD, Paleo, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free)


  • Sweet, sticky and super-addictive
  • Great on SCD crackers, muffins and rolls
  • Use some for Healthy 'Fig Newtons'
  • Makes app. 200ml jar of jam

15 dried figs
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice (about half a lemon)
1 tablespoon honey (optional)

-Remove hard stem nibs from each fig and cut into thirds
-Put all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil
-Turn the heat down and simmer for 10 minutes
-Pour it all into a food processor and process for a minute on high
